Caszyme, LLC, was founded in 2017 in Vilnius, Lithuania, by scientists who were among the pioneers demonstrating that CRISPR-Cas9 can be used to generate precise double-stranded DNA breaks. Their discovery helped to enable a new era of gene editing.
