Project summary, goal and results: “Caszyme” is a biotechnology company that develops CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology with the goal of offering a services package that enables other companies to rapidly and efficiently discover and implement new gene editing solutions. CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology can be applied across various industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medicine, human therapeutics, as well as agriculture and the food industry, among others. Consequently, “Caszyme” is dedicated to developing and modifying both new and existing characterized Cas9 proteins, providing novel gene editing tools with unique properties demanded by the market. This project will empower “Caszyme” to evolve the technology, adapting it to diverse industrial needs, expanding the gene editing spectrum, and enhancing the intellectual property (“IP”) portfolio offered to the market.
Project is funded by European Regional Development Fund, implemented under EU call No. 01.2.1-LVPA-K-856-01 „Eksperimentas“.

Projekto santrauka, tikslas ir rezultatai: “Caszyme” yra biotechnologijų įmonė, vystanti CRISPR-Cas9 genų redagavimo technologiją ir siūlant paslaugų paketus, padedančius kitoms įmonėms greitai ir efektyviai atrasti ir įdiegti naujus genų redagavimo sprendimus savo veikloje. CRISPR-Cas9 genų redagavimo technologija gali būti taikoma įvairiose pramonės šakose, įskaitant biotechnologijas, farmaciją, mediciną, žmonių gydymą, taip pat žemės ūkį ir maisto pramonę ir kt. Todėl “Caszyme” siekia kurti ir modifikuoti naujus ir jau prieinamus, charakterizuotus Cas9 baltymus, bei naujas genų redagavimo priemones, pasižyminčias unikaliomis savybėmis. Šis projektas suteiks “Caszyme” galimybę tobulinti CRISPR genų redagavimo technologiją, plėsti jos pritaikymą įvairiose pramonės srityse, bei didinti rinkai prieinamos intelektinės nuosavybės pasirinkimą.
Projektas finansuojamas Europos regioninės plėtros fondo lėšomis, įgyvendinamas pagal ES kvietimą Nr. 01.2.1-LVPA-K-856-01 “Eksperimentas”.
